The hidden treasure of Peru: Huancaya

Trekking through cascades

This is the eight time I travel to Huancaya and there is always something new to discover. Stunning cascades, turquoise lakes and lagoons, breathtaking trekking routes and endless options for outdoor activities.

Huancaya is located in the Nor Yauyos Cochas Reserve, which was recently declared by the Peruvian Government as a protected landscape Reserve due to its beuaty scenery and the importance for preserving the ecosystem and the culture of little andean villages.

This little charming town located just 6 hours from the boisterous Lima is the perfect place to connect yourself with nature and enjoy some good conversations with the local people or try some delicious andean food.

I´m not a good writer so I´m publishing the photos so you can get an idea of this piece of paradise on earth.
